Happy Birthday Pepere

Happy Birthday to my Pepere again! Yummy Chocolate on butter golden cake. The rosettes are numbered 6 on the left and 9 on the right because he turned 69 and that's where the candles went.

Graduation (JC's Head)

I made this cake for J.C.'s graduation. He once joked about me make a cake the shape of his head. Well, I took him seriously. The hat is a big sugar cookie again like Kendra's (at the top of the page) and the tassle was his actual tassle. The cupcakes spelled out "Congratulations J.C."

Baby Shower

I threw a baby shower for my best friend Jessica. She's having a boy named "Brayden" which is written on the left there. This was my first preshaped cake pan cake. It was different. The inside was a bright blue cake.

Thanksgiving Family Reunion

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a family reunion this year as you can see. So I made a fall themed cake. J.C. thought I was nuts when I started to make the branches. He didn't know where I was headed until he saw the leaves :

Jamie's 3rd Birthday

Happy Momiversary to me! My baby's 3rd birthday. Jamie asked for a green cake for her birthday... I just took the liberty of adding purple trim :) Oops! I forgot to cross the "t" in Birthday... but no one noticed until we started to eat the cake. The swirly cupcakes were fun to make... but LOTS of icing per bite!

WHEW! Then on the same weekend as the wedding cake, I made this Golden Anniversary Cake for my Nana & Pepere. I was a bit more tired when I got to this one. This one only has 9 Roses and again with gold foil leaves. The Cake is Butter Golden with Buttercream Icing. Delicious!

Tier #1 Detail is "1956-2006".
Tier #2 Detail is "Ron & Marilyn".

1st Wedding Cake

I made this wedding cake for my Uncle Kevin and new Aunt Ruby. Their Wedding colors were Burgundy & Gold. I made 22 roses from Burgundy icing and then used gold foil leaves for accent. Of course the cake is white with white icing.
Tier #1 Detail is "KBR" (their monogram). Hard to see because of the flash.
Tier #2 Detail is "10-27-06".
Tier #3 Detail is "Live, Laugh, Love" (their motto).

Twin Birthdays

J.C.'s grandmother, Charlene, has a twin brother named Charlie. They celebrated their Birthday together. Jamie made the beautiful cupcakes all by herself! She's starting young :)

Cinnamon Roll Cake

My dad wanted a cinnamon swirl cake with cream cheese icing for his birthday. Think of it as one big cinnamon roll!

Wiggles Cake

This was a Wiggles cake for my nephew's Birthday. It was very basic & easy. I put colored sugar sprinkles into the batter so the cake looked like confetti on the inside.

Luau Cake #1

My sister-in-law went to Hawaii for her Birthday so she had a Luau Birthday party before she left. The palm trees are plastic ornaments. The outside is goldfish crackers (with little white bubbles) and the "dirt" on Hawaii is brown sugar over brown icing. The flowers have tiny yellow non pareils for pollen. The ocean is white icing with blue spray on color.

Chocolate Chocolate

This cake was made for my mother-in-law. It's sort of a combination idea of 2 previous cakes (12/19/05 & 7/9/06)

Double Birthday

Double Birthday Cake for my mom and friend. This was my first attempt at roses. They are bigger than I intended. The upper half has yellow dots as apposed to the pink dotted lower half.

Father's Day Fun

Happy Father's Day! This "DADS" cake was fun. In order from top left and going clockwise: My Uncle Andre, Pepere, J.C., and Daddy. The cake was chocolate with a Vanilla Caramel filling and Icing. (Coconut for Pepere's hair)

Helicopter Cake

"Alan" is a helicopter pilot for the Army Reserves. For the inside as you can see I colored the cake batter and swirled it to look like camo. (J.C.'s idea!)

Graduation Cap

This was for my sister-in-law's graduation. The Large hat was interesting. The base is all cake (cut a bit for the slant effect). The top of the hat is a large sugar cookie. The tassell was her actual tassell. The photo isn't edible. Also, the cupcakes are hershey's kisses with cookies again (just like my very first cake).
One year difference...

Soldier Send Off

"Joe" was given a send out on his way to the army. There is brown sugar sprinkled on brown frosting to look like sand. The ornaments in the corners are plastic.

Ace of Hearts

What can I say? The birthday girl likes to gamble! The sides of this cake are combed to look like a deck of cards.

Easter Birthday

My Nana's birthday fell on Easter. The sides are basket weave. The grass is green colored coconut.

Pharmacist Birthday

This was an interesting request. The girl wants to be a pharmacist so they wanted it in the shape of a pill. This cake was fun! My first sale.

Baptism Flop

The cake is cinnimon swirl with cream cheese frosting (it was served for breakfast). The words read "God Bless John Paul" & "4-2-06" at the bottom. This was my son's baptism cake... that's why there are shells on either side... not my favorite decorating job. This date marked the 1 year anniversary of JP2's death.

Sonogram

Shhhhh... I insisted on making my own baby shower cake...sad I know. The picture was a transparency I printed from the computer... it's not edible but the ones that are taste nasty. The clothes pins are plastic. The border is supposed to be buttons... my first attempt at "fondant". Not a big fan of it. I prefer icing.

The inside was white cake colored blue.
