Look familiar??? Well it's sort of like Gianna's Cake below, but BETTER! (well, I didn't just give birth before this cake) The Cross is 3D again, but the roses have more detail and the sides are decorated.

Squires
This cake is for the Squires at St. John's. They are a group created by the Knights of Columbus for young boys. (J.C. helps lead and mentor them). They are an awesome group of guys and they do lots of services for the community and church, especially for the prolife movement. I'm very proud of them and was happy to make this cake for their yearly celebration. I copied the symbol off of their shirt. You can see the 2 side by side here:

Jamie's Princess Birthday Cupcakes
Jamie had a Princess party, and I was way too busy or tired to manage a decorative cake, but I did make these simple, but pretty cup cakes. I hope she wasn't too disappointed.

Gianna's Baptism
This was Gianna's Baptism cake. I didn't have alot of energy to do it, so I threw it together. But the cross is 3D. The frosting looks funny because it's cream cheese frosting on a cinnamon cake (because we ate it for breakfast).

Friend's Baby Shower
Mom and I threw a Baby Shower for our friend. She is due 6 weeks after me and we are both having girls. This cake turned our beatifully, like I imagined. It was a big hit (I know that's not very humble). It was lots of fun. There is edible glitter on the whole thing too, but it's hard to see in the picture.

Dad's 50th Birthday
This was really fun to make. As you can see, it's a large casino chip. It was for my Dad's casino Themed 50th birthday party. Here's a funny story: My mom was so frantic getting ready for the party that she didn't even notice she plopped a pair of scissors right on the cake!!!!!! It would be an understatement to say I was shocked when I walked over to the cake to take a picture and saw a large pair of scissors on top! After some cussing and laughing, I managed to fix a few damaged spots :) Whew!

Farewell Fr. Michael
This was probably one of the most heart wrenching cakes to make....because it meant a dear friend/father/pastor of mine, Fr. Michael, was leaving. But it was good for the mourning process. Nothing special to say about this cake. But it was requested that I make a "cutable" cake. If you see the cake I made for Fr. Michael's Anniversary last year, you'll see this is much simpler. Last time NOBODY cut the cake because they were afraid to. ((Apparently it didn't matter...nobody cut this cake either))

Luau Birthday #2
This Memorial Day, I helped my friend Ginger celebrate her 50th birthday. Her husband threw her a "Hawaii Five-O" Party....get it...50....five-o? Anyways, I sort of copied a previous cake from 2 years ago. This time I did a smaller Hawaiian Islands, and the "Hau'oli La Hanau" is Hawaiian for "Happy Birthday". I just noticed that the flowers for the cupcakes are different than the last ones I made. I must have used a different tip. The water again, was made with a spray on icing for the air brushed effect.

Bachelorette
My friend asked me to make this cake for her sister's bridal shower. She insisted on hot pink and black, although I warned her it would stain their lips and teeth. She said she needed a good laugh because she'd be the only one at the party not drinking :) So I aim to please! The theme was "tying the knot". There were ALOT of words, and well, after 3 years, I'm still not even close to perfect on my writing. Oh well. The knot at the top was tricky. I tried to practice on wax paper and tranfer one, but that didn't work. So this was done free hand onto the cake (I only got one shot) so I'm pretty happy.
